Learning and Education Assistance Program (LEAP)

FirstCall actively supports and encourages self-development and provides funding to make development more accessible. The Learning and Education Assistance Program (LEAP) is designed to support the professional development and education of all employees by providing financial assistance for tuition reimbursement, student loan repayment, continuing education, and industry specific certifications.

About LEAP
Employees must complete a LEAP Application prior to enrolling in any education session, program or higher education course of learning that falls within the Continuing Education & Certifications or Tuition Reimbursement programs.
The application can be requested from hr@firstcallmechanical.com to be completed via Paycom.
A LEAP Application for Student Loan Repayment must be completed within 6 months of new employee’s start date. Applications will be reviewed and approved by HR to ensure the request complies with FirstCall policy. Applications will also be reviewed by Managers and RVPs or Function Leaders, where required. No payments or reimbursements will be made prior to full approval.
Who Qualifies?
- Be a regular full-time employee. Part-time employees, temporary workers, interns, and contractors are not eligible to participate.
- Be in good standing. Good standing is defined as having no disciplinary actions within the last 6 months.
- Have a minimum of 6 months of continuous service prior to the beginning of the course or training program (excluding employees seeking student loan repayment benefit).
- Be active in employment status at the time each course application is submitted for approval. Employees on leave of absence are not eligible.
- Be active in employment status to receive any reimbursement or loan repayment, even if the applications are approved prior to status change.
- Seek continuing education, certification, or higher learning that provides industry or role-related learning or skills building relevant to FirstCall's trades or business operations.
- Receive prior approval from Regional Vice President (RVP) or Function Leader and Human Resources.

Tool purchase provides you with special rates for tools, which you repay to the company in the form of payroll deductions.
